Hotel Krone Thun

The central location made it easy to explore the charming streets and cafes of the old town. My room was bright and spacious, with lovely decor that added to the warm ambiance. Plus, the staff were friendly and accommodating.

The noise from the street was a bit distracting at times.

The location was marvellous and lovely - within a walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go. The restaurant was amazing for breakfast and dinner, we tried wonderful dishes. The view on the castle above from the window was nice.

A charming stay with local flair

Staying here reminded me of a good adventure. The eclectic decor and vibrant local culture, especially the friendly staff who welcomed us with genuine smiles.

Unfortunately, I faced some inconveniences. The absence of a microwave in the common area presented a challenge for warming up food, a bit frustrating after long days out.

The rooms are a nice size and well-equipped and the bathrooms are large.

The room was very clean and the location was excellent!

We only stayed for 1 night and received a room under the roof with small windows and lowered ceilings on half the room. For two tall persons it was a bit of a problem. If we had stayed for an additional night I would have asked to change the room. The breakfast was standard, not exceptional for a 4 star hotel. Otherwise, a nice hotel but would probably not return again.

Charming decor made my stay enjoyable, but soundproofing needs improvement.

Good service, very clean, superb location in city centre, right next to the river and many cafes and restaurants. Very close to the train station.

Modern hotel with an excellent location in the town centre. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good (standard) breakfast, available until 11am on a Sunday, which is nice. Decent sized rooms - on the small side, but not cramped. Very nice bathroom with good shower.

We stayed there in March so the streets were fairly quiet, but I can imagine it can get quite noisy during the summer (as others have pointed out). The double bed is quite small and uncomfortable, and the duvet is tiny! It barely covers the bed, and if you have a partner who is a duvet-hogger, then you will wake up cold and uncovered!!! Having said that, we would still go back and stay at the hotel again as the positives outweigh the negatives. Although we would ask for two duvets this time. :)

Located in the historic heart of the town the hotel was in easy walking distance of all the interesting places we wished to visit but we did not suffer from late night noise. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we had a superb dinner in the restaurant and an excellent breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay, as the staff was lovely and cute and it was only a few steps to the central church of Thun. We had a bright room with a view of the square.

Just about everything we liked about this hotel. The staff was friendly. They received us well. They made us feel comfortable. The location was excellent. Our room was comfortable and clean. Food was good. The breakfast was good with a lot of variety.

We cannot remember to say that we did not like something.
